History
To understand the conflict at hand, we must first understand its participants and their histories.
The Formation of Singing Lala Team
Singing Lala Team (SLT) was founded on April 25th, 2023 by mabel mabel in response to cultural pressures to avoid the viewing of Lyle Lyle Crocodile, a film featuring a CGI crocodile voiced by Shawn Mendes. Tensions over the film had risen in the weeks after its first mention on March 15th, 2023 by tori fisher, who posted a clip of the film to the #cognitohazard-hq channel, framing the clip as worthy of derision.

In response to this development, mabel became obsessed with this clip. mabel continued to post the song by the crocodile from the film, often in text form as the phrase "la la lala la". This rallying cry was unifying for a time. Notable future Gongoozling Club members Tomomo, Austin, and tori all participated, showing what would soon be recognized as a halcyon era of crossing the aisle.
